According to an analysis made in 2011, this means that, using Vidurglass low thickness glass of 3.15mm the total weight of a vehicle could be reduced between 70 and 100 Kg for each reduced millimetre of thickness, which usually results in an overall weight reduction from 140 to 200 kg per vehicle achieving a fuel saving of more than 5%.
